The IMSA Alumni Association is teaming up with the IMSA Student Council to re-initiate the IAA University Host Program and is looking for your help to make it work.

The IAA University Host Program, which will formally re-start during the 2007-2008 school year, will pair an IMSA student with an IMSA alum during a student's college visit. The program is designed so that the alum will be able to give the IMSA student an inside look into the college they are interested in. The student would get a tour of the campus and learn the ins and outs of the school from a person who has lived there—you.

If you live in a college town—anywhere from New York to Honolulu—you can lend a hand to a fellow member of the IMSA community by volunteering to be an IAA University Host.

University hosts can help visiting IMSA students and alumni in a number of ways, including:

• picking up students/alums from local airports, train stations and bus depots;
• offering a place to stay during visits or other short periods;
• taking students/alums out for meals;
• connecting students/alums with people in the community and at the local college or university who can help with specific areas of college life (academics, jobs, financial aid, etc.);
• providing a friendly face who understands IMSA and how to transition into life after it.

There are no formal requirements for this program. If you would like to house an IMSA student for a night or two and show him or her your campus, then the IAA and IMSA Student Council is looking for you!

In your e-mail, be sure to include your name, e-mail address, colleges and universities within a reasonable distance (you decide what that distance is for yourself) and anything specific that you are or aren't willing to do.

Your name will be added to the master list of IAA University Hosts so that when a student is interested in visiting your school, Mindy can contact you to determine your availability.
