Class of 2002 5-Year Reunion Budget Approval (Ande)

Ande moved, Kelly seconded that the budget be accepted as proposed.

The budget was approved by unanimous voice vote.

Items for Discussion

Class of 1992 15-Year Reunion (Ande & Jenny)

The event is now without a coordinator; viability is in question. If we do not have a budget to approve by next month's meeting, there won't be a formal IAA-backed reunion.

IMSA20 LA Event Wrap-up (Kevin)

The event generally went well. 18 alumni and spouses, and 5 staff members and spouses attended. There was confusion when the venue required a prix fixe dinner rather than allowing people to order off the menu, which upset some people. Several bottles of wine were also ordered which complicated accounting for the event; it was noted that cash bars alleviate such confusion :)

Kevin will ask Glenys if she would be willing to reimburse people at the event for not getting the dinner they were expecting. Either way, Glenys will send her reimbursement request to Jenny.

LinkedIn Proposal (Paul)

Paul noted that LinkedIn has eased their requirements for group creation, and will create an IMSA group.

Paul will write page for IAA.org to link to IAA pages on social networking sites.

Ande will talk to Brenda Buschbacher about use of the IMSA logo on those sites.

Elections (Ande & Paul)

Paul is still the only person on the election committee; there is one other person who may be willing to help. Ande will give Paul his contact information.

Paul will put together a sample page on iaa.org for what candidate statements will look like. Of particular note is the inclusion of a section for IMSA service.

Lumen Status (Matthew)

Cost for an RC for the dorm will be about $350. Cost should be about $20/person. Professional networking will be on Saturday in the math study area.

Matthew will update the LUMEN info on the IAA site. Neal will help him as needed.

Alumni Day Planning (Ande)

LUMEN in the afternoon

Ande asked Jenny to provide a list of faculty and staff who are leaving IMSA.

Cabinet members will be asked to contact faculty and staff to personally invite them to the faculty/staff luncheon.

Announcements and Reports

The IMSA20 event last Friday went well; about 250 people were there. IMSA Alumni award winners are posted on IMSA's website at http://www.imsa.edu/alumni/awards/recipients.php.
