Candidate for At-large Member

Objective
I would expand the University Host Program and use it as a tool for networking between and among IMSA graduating classes. I have substantial contacts with the members of the classes of 2006-2010.
IMSA Service
I served as Student Council President while at IMSA, working to improve the IMSA community, and view this position as a way to continue my involvement.
Personal statement:
While serving on Student Council, the idea of the University Host Program intrigued me. IMSA students have a lot of angst in regard to applying to college, while IMSA alumni have already gone through the process and survived to tell the tale. From my own experiences, I know that speaking with IMSA alumni about college life, choosing a college, etc., helped me make my own decisions. As a result, I know this program will be beneficial to other students looking for a helpful hand, someone to answer questions, or a place to stay on a college visit. Were I to be elected, I would like to immediately begin working on the University Host Program. I am excited to be running for the position of IAA At-Large, and hope that you will vote for me as a dependable and passionate candidate.
