Candidate for At-large Member

Objective
I have lived in Chicago for eight years and keep in touch with many alumni in this city who would like to become involved but have yet to find the appropriate fit. As Admissions Coordinator At-Large, I would help to gradually ease interested alumni from answering questions from potential students to hopefully taking their own Board positions.
IMSA Service
My involvement since graduation has been limited. I have returned several times to cheer on IMSA athletics and to play basketball with other alumni/staff. I am regularly in touch with those who remain close to me. This bond has allowed me to visit alumni in Germany, England, France, and China (places that I never imagined I would see).
Personal Statement
Although I have waited 8 years to get involved with the Alumni Association, I feel that it is not too late. I am entering my last year of law school and fear that if I don't become involved now, I will begin to marginalize the time I would like to spend being active in the IMSA community. More than anything, I would like to eventually become an Officer of the Association. Realistically, I know that starting as an at large member with a project that I can handle is the best way to not scare myself away from the dedication it takes to serve the Alumni (and potential alumni). Thank you.
